Sometimes, the best books to read are the ones that push us out of our usual comfort zone. Monster love is a subgenre that is growing in popularity. So this month, we are dipping our toes into that subgenre and reading Under Lock and Key by Lana Ferguson.

There is just something about some tropes that just rubs us the wrong way. But there is always a book that is the exception to that rule. A book that you adore even though its main trope is one that you absolutely hate. This month’s BYOB is all about showing off those books you love, even though you hate the trope featured in it.
