Favourite Quote:
‘What’s your name?’ he asked huskily.
She opened her eyes but couldn’t answer. He was so close, so intently focused on her, seeming to study her every feature. Spellbinding her in the process.

Review:
I love an unhinged, fast-paced, category romance, so when I read the title of this book, I knew it was the book for me. And I am pleased to say that this book didn’t disappoint. First, for those who are new to category romances, they are quick reads. They are meant to move fast and are definitely not meant to be super realistic. My advice to anyone considering diving into a category romance is not to overthink what you are reading. Just go along for the ride. Also, there are LOTS of category romances out there, not all of them you are going to like, but I guarantee you will find one that will bring you swoony joy.
As you can probably gather from this book’s title, this is a secret pregnancy; we are having an unexpected baby romance. Be warned, there are a lot of tropes jam-packed into this book. There is a secret pregnancy, a one-night stand, a vacation romance, an office romance, forced proximity, a marriage of convenience, and a few others. With this many tropes packed into such a short story, the plot is bonkers and moves at a rapid pace. I loved every moment of it. Phoebe needs a holiday and decides to go to Greece, where she literally crashes into Edo, who she thinks is a general labourer at a local vineyard. They have a one-night stand that blows each other’s minds. But they, of course, part ways, thinking they will never meet each other again. A few months later, Phoebe is in the boardroom at her work, waiting to meet her new boss and in walks Edo, who just so happens to be a billionaire (of course). Things move quickly when Edo figures out that Phoebe is pregnant, which means they will just have to get married. But not because they are in love, but because Phoebe will need to be protected. God, romance is so great. As you can see, a lot of what happens in this story is unbelievable and unrealistic. But that is not what this book is meant to be. It’s meant to take some great tropes and deliver a quick and dirty read that will entertain you. And it does that.
I liked the chemistry between Phoebe and Edo. They have that fun, quick banter that has just the right amount of sharpness. The chemistry is delicious and addictive to read. They definitely have that insta-lust feel to their relationship. There is plenty of spice in this book for those who like their romances on the hotter side. But what I liked is that even though their relationship progresses super quickly physically, it does take a bit for them to connect on an emotional level.
Overall, this is a fun, bonkers romance that delighted me from beginning to end.
