Review by Ronny

Accidentally Kidnapping the Mafia Boss is a bonkers spicy mafia novella, perfect for anyone looking for a quick and dirty read.
Favourite Quote:
I’ve never been kidnapped before. I’ve been missing out. This is the most fun I’ve had in years.
Book Synopsis:
I meant to save my brother. Instead, I got caught by his dangerous, older, kingpin boss…
It was a perfect plan. Grab my feckless brother from outside the club, take him to our family cabin near a cute fishing village far from London’s vices, and force him to sort his life out.
Except, when I open the back of my little car, it’s not my brother in there but the tall, dark, tattooed, Irish mafia boss he works for.
And the kingpin is furious.
Oops.
Sorry and a lift home isn’t going to cut it. He wants compensation. And the only thing I have to offer him is myself.
I might have kidnapped him, but the mafia boss isn’t going to let me go.
Review:
I love a bonkers mafia romance, and the moment I laid eyes on the title of this book, I knew I needed to read it. Now, this is a novella, which I hadn’t realized when I purchased it, and because it is a novella, the plot moves at a ridiculously quick pace and let’s be honest, there isn’t as much of a plot, which was a bit disappointing to me. I sort of enjoyed this book. My problem is with a title like Accidentally Kidnapping a Mafia Boss, I was expecting a full banana pants plot with lots of ridiculous drama and shenanigans. The more bonkers and unbelievable the plot, the better, and this book didn’t live up to that expectation. I wished the author would have embraced the craziness and just leaned hard into the bonker-ness that this story could have been. Now, the first few chapters where Millie is kidnapping Finn were ridiculous (that’s not a complaint), but it wasn’t what I was expecting, and if I am going to be honest, it really didn’t consist of much of anything. Millie literally just pushed Finn into her car and drove off. That was it. I get that this is a novella, but come on, I want an elaborate kidnapping plan, a baffled mafia boss, and a heroine who oozes crazy, chaotic energy.
The rest of the book is pretty much just lusty sex scenes that were ok, besides the fact that Finn’s shirts magically reappear on him so that he can take them off again. I can see the potential between these two. I enjoyed their chemistry, and I liked both characters. I just think the plot needs to be worked on a bit and maybe edited a bit better. I would recommend this book to anyone who is looking to kill an hour and wants a little spice in their lives, as long as you can get your hands on it for free.
