Series Name: Made & Broken, # 3

I opened my mouth to thank him, but as my fingertips grazed over his warm hand, I looked up into his face—and promptly lost all ability to control my tongue.

“huk..ank…s.” I was vaguely aware that the noise I’d produced didn’t much resemble human speech, but most of my focus was pulled toward his eyes.

They were a startling, silvery gray, but what captured my attention so completely wasn’t the color—it was the warm mirth dancing in them, pulling at me like a magnet. His gaze was so completely filled with life, it made the rest of the world seem dull and mute by comparison.

Trouble is a kinky and heart-racing mafia romance that is hard to put down.

I share everything with my twin—every man I kill, every woman I f*ck. But once my sight is set on her… she’s all mine.
AUDREY
If there is one thing I don’t have time for, it’s men. Especially not men six years my junior, with a wicked smile and abs for days. No self-respecting woman with career goals and bills to pay would fall for a guy like Liam Steel—he’s everything I never wanted, with his easy laugh and complete disregard for rules.
He’s not the man for me, I know he isn’t. He’s got secrets, and if I get too close they’ll end up burning me alive.
So why can’t I stay away?
LIAM
It was meant to be a harmless fling—she was supposed to be just another quick f*ck before I was out the door. But Audrey Waits is so much more than I ever thought she’d be.
She’s the one.
I should be happy I’ve found the woman I want to marry. After all, isn’t that what everyone spends their entire life searching for? Their one true love.
Too bad I’ll never get my Happily Ever After.
How can I, when being with me means she’s marked for death?
LOUIS
It was always Liam and me. Through every hit we’ve done, every woman we’ve f*cked and every loss we’ve suffered, we’ve been left standing because we had each other’s backs.
Then she showed up. The prissy little bird who’s wrapped my twin around her finger, making him careless. Making him vulnerable.
In our business, you have a weakness, you’re dead. And if there’s one thing I won’t survive, it’s losing Liam.
So I’ll protect him—even from himself, if I have to.
I’ll make her think I’m him.
And then I’ll break her.
She’ll regret the day she fell in love with a Steel.

This is by far the kinkiest and sexiest book in the Made & Broken series and my favourite. I’ve been looking forward to the twin’s book since I first met them in book one of the series. These two are full of chaotic, fun energy and mischief. I knew their story would be something special, and it was. There are two stories in this book. One is centred around the mafia overarching plotline that has been unfolding in this series, and the other is the relationship between Audrey, Liam, and Louis. These two stories unfold separately for the first half of the book with only brief intersections, and then they fully merge in the book’s second half.

Let’s talk about the mafia bits first. There has been building tension between the Steel brothers and their father over the series, and it’s in this book all the tension explodes into a climactic series of events. I really enjoyed how things unfolded in this book. Nora does a great job at building up that heightened emotion, and when shit hits the fan, you cannot help but be on the edge of your seat. The final big showdown scenes were great and also left some smaller stories unfinished for the potential spin-off series. The mafia bits definitely play second fiddle to the relationship parts in this book. The twins are involved in the daily mafia business but don’t necessarily play as prominent a role as their other brothers did. Overall, it’s a good mafia story, and if you are looking for something that isn’t dark and overly violent, then this book might be for you.

Let’s talk about the lusty relationship between Audrey, Liam, and Louis. Their relationship is firmly in the taboo and slightly dark subgenre. As you can imagine, this is an MMF relationship, and there is a lot of banging going on in this book. I mean A LOT. I think you are either going to love the relationship between these three or hate it. I rather enjoyed it. It was different but in a good way. Things move fast between these characters. Their feelings go from one to one hundred in a short period, which is pretty on par for this series. These books are designed to be quick and dirty reads. One of the things that I thought was interesting was the fact that Audrey couldn’t tell Liam and Louis a part. Normally, the heroine is the only one who can tell the difference between two twin heroes, but that wasn’t the case in this book. That is probably because of the direction Nora wanted to take the story in. In previous books, the twins shared bedmates by pretending to be each other. In this book, Louis is furious with the fact that Liam is in this relationship with Audrey. He’s afraid to lose his brother to this unknown woman, but he also is afraid that their father will hurt Liam through Audrey. Louis pretends to be Liam for a portion of this story in order to manipulate Audrey and ends up sleeping with Audrey, who thinks she is sleeping with Liam. Lol, confused yet. Let’s just say that there are a lot of lusty feelings flying around these three, and in the background, this mafia war between the Steel brothers and their father is about to break out. There are a lot of fabulous tropes in this book, and Nora does a great job weaving them all together to create one steamy read. You will enjoy this book if you like the age gap (the heroine is older than the heroes), one bed, insta-lust, public sex scenes, menage, twin brothers, and mistaken identity.

Trouble is another addictive and lusty story by Nora Ash.
