Win-win 🙂

“It was obvious they had already forgotten Piper was there. They might be seventy-nine and eighty years old, but the young newlyweds they had once been shone in their faces as Eric stepped forward and took Patty in his arms.”

Finding Love on Sunshine Island is a cozy heartfelt escape read that you won’t be able to put down.

Welcome to the Sunshine Island – where the beaches are golden, the lifestyle is perfect and anything is possible.

Piper Le Brocq is happily single after the disastrous ending of her engagement eighteen months before. The only man in her life is Jax, her best friend and cousin, who spends his life teaching locals how to forage and taking tourists on boat trips around the island. Her days are filled with helping out at her mother’s guest house and selling her glass mosaics at The Cabbage Patch emporium in Trinity.

Piper loves living on the Sunshine Island, where the neighbours look out for each other and visitors are welcome. So, when handsome guest Alex Cooper arrives at the guest house to check up on his grandfather, she welcomes him to the sunny island. And when he needs help after his grandfather is injured, she’s quick to get involved.

Yet, the more she gets to know Alex the more mysterious he seems, and Alex isn’t the only one keeping secrets from her.

I really, really adored this book. It had me constantly letting out those happy sighs and wishing I could just step into this book and spend time with Piper and her family on Jersey Island.  I am ashamed to admit I might have spent my entire Saturday reading this book. It was just one of those books that you cannot put down. The story has that nice easy-breezy flow with just enough twists and drama to keep me entertained.

Georgina did a fantastic job transporting her readers to the stunning shores of Jersey Island. I really couldn’t get enough of her descriptions of the island. They were just so lush and vivid and had me Googling to see if this island actually exists (it does!). This book has that perfect idyllic setting that I love in my romance books. It also has a charming and quirky community of people living there. There was just such a wonderful mix of people living on the island, and there was this sense of community and willingness to help others that always makes my heart so happy.

Piper is such a fun and endearing character. I loved her relationship with her mom and gran. Piper’s gran and her cousin Jax were probably my favourite characters in this book (besides Piper and Alex, of course). These two have those personalities that you just can’t but be drawn to. Piper’s gran has lived such an interesting life and can be a firecracker at times. I would love to read a book about her coming to the island and making a home for her and her daughter. Jax is a real charmer and has that laid-back, fun personality that always charms my socks off. I am really hoping Georgina decides to write a book about him next.

The romance between Piper and Alex has this sweet slow-burn feel to it. There are so many cute/swoony moments between these two, and the fact that they happened on this gorgeous island had my heart-pitter-pattering even more. There are plenty of will they or won’t they moments, and even though I knew they would get together in the end, I was curious how Georgina would sort out the long-distance factor. The relationship between these two was just so charming and real.

Finding Love on Sunshine Island is a sweet romance set in an enchanting location.
