What’s the strangest thing you searched for on the internet for your novel?
How to use an EpiPen! There’s a scene in ON LOCATION involving an allergic reaction that’s utter chaos. It was a blast to write.
What book (or author) made you fall in love with the romance genre?
A GIRL LIKE YOU by Gemma Burgess. It’s the perfect British contemporary romance that made me swoon so hard. As soon as I read it, something clicked in my brain. I had spent years reading romance but never thought to write it. I tried writing a million other genres and nothing ever felt right. But after reading that book, it was like, “This! This is what I’m meant to write!” I wrote my very first romance shortly after that.
What is your favorite trope? Why?
Enemies to lovers! There’s just something about the heat and tension and banter. And it’s so enthralling seeing how two characters slowly transition from hate to love. It hooks me every time. And it’s so much fun to write.
It’s the morning after, and a lover is making your main character the perfect breakfast in bed. What is it?
Eggs Benedict! There’s actually a cute breakfast scene that takes place after a very naughty scene in ON LOCATION, and it involves eggs Benedict.
What book are you reading currently?
IT TAKES HEART by Tif Marcelo. It’s SUCH a cute and swoony second chance romance.
The rapid fire question- For your first date would you rather: go on a long hike in a national park or go on a long dinner at a fancy restaurant?
Ahhh that’s so hard! I love both! Probably the long dinner. As much as I love hiking, I’m a sucker for a fancy meal.
